Default Pc Cooling and fan replacement

Hi, basically my current pc fan is very loud and i want to change it to a quiter one or even one of those 'silent fans' ive read about if they would fit, also the pc recently has been quite hot and i wanted to know other cheap ish ways to cool it.

First off the fan, it is the internal fan i need to change, ive looked around on ebay and they all have cm sizes so i measured mine, the fan is 6 cm screw to screw but the actual thing is quite bulky and goes bigger, i just wanted to confirm whther the measurements are in fact screw to screw, also i dont have a case fan in the computer and i was wondering is this a major issue, my previous computers (though admittedly were much more high spec) had a case fan as well as the fan above the processor but the fan inside was larger, could somone reccomencd me with somthing along the lines of what i need to look for as every time i type in 6 cm fan, they all seem to be case fans.

Also i recently moved out and the room the pc is in now is well ventilated however the sun is shining directly into it for most of the day as it is in line with the sun rise and peak of the day so the room is much hotter than what i had before, i just want to make sure it doesnt burn out on me or somthing so is there another way i can cool it or anything else i can buy to cool it.

The pc model is Packard Bell iMedia MC 2569, has 2 gig ram and is p4 dual core, if more information is needed please ask, i know the pc is not that good however i have limited funds and it runs 2 x GW side by side as well as all my uni stuff so it works fine for me (",)

Thanks for any help,
Vampy.

You should be using mm. 6cm = 60mm (someone correct me if my math is wrong)

Most silent fans I have encountered are 120mm sizes.

Try moving your rig out of direct contact with the sunlight. You are correct about not having a fan in your rig. Temps will decrease if you have a fan, but the biggest factor is the ambient temps of your room. If you can move to different room asap.

Try this, it has really good airflow.

a good case fan (or 2) will lower your temperatures allot - I don't reccomend any gaming on a PC without any fans cooling it off...
